Stanley has a hit with the Santa Barbara Montecito Iron Bed

The Santa Barbara Montecito Iron Bed acquired its bold look from the Spanish and Moorish influences of the city herself. Santa Barbara is called the American Riviera. The rich history, the fine architecture of her historic missions, and the sweeping views are memorialized in this set.

The bed frame sits upon solid, square posts with arched detailing and carved finials. The headboard and footboard have scrolled accents and castings. They are both wood frame with ironwork detailing. This is truly traditional decor. The finish is a medium woodtone with a rich patina. Matching pieces available in the bedroom suite feature marble accents, scrolled iron, etched brass, and hammered metal hardware with copper undertones.

The bed is available in California, King and Queen sizes with a construction of maple with hardwood solids and maple veneers. Each headboard and footboard bear metal accents. The headboard is bored for a metal frame. The full piece includes a headboard, footboard, a pair of wood rails, three slats, and three center feet. It comes ready to assemble.

Stanley Furniture (http://www.stanleyfurniture.com/) is serious about the impact of their business and has created strategies for social, environmental and community sustainability. Their furniture is made in the USA by highly skilled craftsmen. Their wood is allowed to cure for three to six months, then kiln dried. This process assures stability in the finished work. All of their joints are secured with both glue and nails to ensure longevity.

Stanley uses a thirty step finishing process even in their most state of the art plants. This results in a durable, protective coat and a deep color with striking highlights. Pieces are hand sanded multiple times, ensuring no rough spots at the finish. The wood is hand waxed and hand rubbed before a final inspection and shipment. Dust frequently and polish the bed every six months to keep it looking its best.
